Cargo bikes continue to support our City! A focus of TransportLand is to connect civic need with civilian support. We believe that cargo bikes will help transform Portland into a more livable city.

This month, The Oregon Food Bank has its summit meeting. One topic on the table for discussion is delivering Emergency Food Boxes by cargo bike.

We will share specifics as the program develops. For now, our goal is to find people who are interested in delivering emergency food boxes on behalf of The Oregon Food Bank.

These deliveries would be occasional, and given a group of interested riders, not very intrusive to your lifestyle. This would be light volunteer work, but heavily supportive to our community where people go hungry each week.

Are you interested? Send us an email (transportPDX@gmail.com) or connect through comments, Facebook, or Twitter.

Long John or a long tail … Cycle truck or trailer … Your involvement is appreciated.

I have given my support to The Oregon Food Bank on this program. I hope you do as well.
