Say, pour pour and say hello to Portland’s newest cargo bike coffee distributor. Owned and operated by Jake Stone, now starting to pour coffee. So new in fact, that when I saw him today, his coffee cargo trike was without company logo. You can see his logo here, on his web site, pourpour coffee.
You probably know of Jake through the BikePortland article, Portland’s coffee bike arms race (and other cargo bike news). Or the fact that his trike comes from Icicle Tricycle, a local company.
In many ways, I felt like I knew Jake, learning about his goal through Kickstarter, and exchanging a few emails regarding cargo bike businesses.
But we did not meet until today when I saw pourpour coffee at Peninsula Park, my neighborhood park. Let me help you understand how awesome this is. It is a beautiful sunny day. The weather is warm enough for shorts, but not unbearable. My whole family is walking to the park to play. This already is a great scene so I am smiling. Then, from a block away, I spot a business trike in my park! Was I in Europe?
No, just as good–NE Portland.
Jake–thank you for adding to the wonderful cargo bike culture and making a cargo bike part of your business model. Good luck in all you do.
